IN THE NEWS: Educator is finding success with kids while on the run
Helping children inside the classroom as a teacher is something Jennifer Simmers always knew she wanted to do. When she found out that she could combine her love of running while working with kids, that was even better. Simmers, 31, is a fourth-grade teacher at Central Elementary School in City Heights. She’s also a volunteer coach with the Girls on the Run San Diego program at the school, a nonprofit that “teaches healthy patterns of living to girls ages 8-13.” Read more from the San Diego Union-Tribune»
