The Miss Dance Drill Team Annual Six Flags Magic Mountain Competition
belonged to the Wildcats dance team from Fulton K-8 in Skyline.
The
team, a fixture at competitions for the last 13 years, received awards
in the Elementary Small Open class at the April 27 event.
"The
hard work and long hours that our wonderfully talented students are
putting in is paying off in the classroom and the community," said
Principal Stanley Munro. "A special thank you is due to the coaches, Ms.
Sherie, Ms. Shanna, the parents, and teachers for their leadership and
tutelage to ensure our students succeed in all facets of life so they
make a positive contribution and a lasting impact in this world."
This
year was the first time that the Wildcats not only placed first place
in their category Small Open, but also took first place for the highest
score out of every different category performance in the Small Division,
topping 15 different schools, according to Dr. Munro.
"The ladies work hard and non-stop on their craft as well as their school work and citizenship as role models," said Dr. Munro.
