Lincoln JROTC Supports Autism Fundraiser
Fifteen Lincoln High School JROTC cadets learned some valuable lessons when they recently volunteered at the Walk for Autism Speaks. The cadets presented the colors for the opening ceremony, assisted with the set-up and clean-up of informational displays, put away all equipment and assisted in transporting displays to vehicles. They also provided a cheering section for the walkers who were raising funds for autism research and programs. The day’s activities added up to service learning and community service for the cadets, along with the invaluable opportunity to learn and understand autism.
