Teachers Hone Math and Science Skills

Congratulations to the ten elementary school teachers who will attend the Mickelson ExxonMobil Teachers Academy in Houston this summer.

They are: David Kerr, Lindbergh/Schweitzer; Grace Nall, Walker; Kerri Felcyn, Hancock; Andrea Miller and Maria Kammerzell, Carson; Jennifer French, Rowan/Curie; Neysa Sanchez, Cesar Chavez; Antoinette Curtis, Audubon; Marcus Greene, Rosa Parks; and Chelsea Cochrane (team leader), ISS Division.

Phil and Amy Mickelson and ExxonMobil Corporation, in conjunction with the National Science Teachers Association and Math Solutions, created the academy to provide teachers with the opportunity to hone their mathematics and science teaching skills and discover new ways to motivate students. All travel, lodging and most meal expenses are paid by the academy.
