Cooking Up Opportunities at Garfield High
IN THE NEWS: In Garfield High School’s impressively equipped
professional kitchen, the students in the culinary-arts program learn
how to use a knife and a 12-burner range and how to make pizza dough
from scratch. Most importantly, the students at this alternative
continuation school in downtown San Diego learn that opportunities are a
lot like pizzas, quesadillas and fish tacos. The best ones are the ones
