New stars have been born from Hoover High School.

Three graduates from the high-tech focused Academy of Information Technology (AOIT) are the stars in the nationally televised series "Road Trip Nation" on Public Broadcasting System (PBS).

The series focuses on encouraging young people to hit the road in search of interviews with leaders who have defined their own distinct routes through life. Its slogan is: Define your own road in life. Youths apply to be part of the odyssey in a big green recreational vehicle.

More on Road Trip Nation.

Hoover AOIT students have embarked on their own Road Trip Nation projects for the past two years. A podcast of the Hoover portion of the show can be viewed at 21:55 of the episode, or by playing the "Heartbeat RTN" episode on Road Trip Nation, Episode 8.
