PTA Hosts Parent Workshop on Compensatory Education

The San Diego Unified Council of PTAs has partnered with the California Association of Compensatory Education (CASE) for the second time this year to offer insights in Compensatory Education and what it means to your school and your students. This seminar is free and open to all interested parents. You do not need to be an School Site Council (SSC) representative to attend and your school does not have to be a PTA school. The seminar will cover budget allocations.

What is a School Site Council? The School Site Council – also called SSC – oversees how federal and state categorical funds such as Title I dollars are spent at your child's school. The School Site Council develops and approves each school's Single Plan for Student Achievement – a plan of actions to raise the academic performance of all students.
