San Diego Unified’s Board of Education was selected to represent the State of California for the 2011 Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network & National School Boards Association Award. Since 1988, this national award has been presented annually to a local school board that has demonstrated support for and commitment to high-quality arts education. One school board per state is selected to make up the pool of national nominees.
The winning school board will be announced at the annual national NSBA conference in San Francisco, April 9-11, 2011.
