Board meets throughout day today

San Diego Unified's Board of Education meets throughout the day today to discuss the 2010-11 budget, as well as regular business items. The schedule:

• 8:30 a.m.: Budget workshop
• 2 p.m.: Regular business meeting
• 5 p.m.: Budget action meeting; the Board can vote on 2010-11 budget issues.

The meetings are open to the public and the agenda is posted online. The public can speak at various points during the meeting.
