Student delegates from CHAMPs and LAB schools at the Crawford Educational Complex participated in the 13th Annual Worldlink Youth Town Meeting at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice, University of San Diego, on Jan. 22. The Worldlink Program connects youth to global affairs and provides a forum for student delegates to meet world leaders and experts.
This year's Youth Town Meeting theme was "Development: Fighting Global Poverty,”and focused on education, healthcare, food security, trade, infrastructure, and governance. Among the 34 students who attended, CHAMPs World History students Victor Garcia, Mai Le Nguyen, and Resse Russell were moderators during panel discussions and Nina A. Ly was selected as journalist for the Worldlink Youth Town Meeting newspaper.
