Statewide Webinar Highlights San Diego’s Summer Lunch Program

The successful Summer Lunch Program was highlighted during a statewide webinar sponsored by the California Summer Meals Coalition. Joanne Tucker, Food Services marketing coordinator, joined other presenters in talking with more than 200 school districts and community group members about how summer lunch programs work. San Diego Unified was the only school district invited to participate. To date, our district has been the recipient of three Summer Sunshine awards from the United States Department of Agriculture.
