MET Students Help Preserve Living Laboratory
If you'd like to see seniors from the San Diego MET High School in action, plan to visit San Elijo Lagoon Day on Saturday, May 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Lagoon Visitors Center in Cardiff-by-the-Sea. Since October, seniors from the school on the Mesa College campus have been participating in an ecological community service project to better understand biodiversity and discover how endangered species are affected in wetlands habitats. Working with staff from the San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy, the students have created their own exhibits, which will be on display for the public. For more information, please contact Jill Badger, MET LTI coordinator, at (619) 388-2296.
