Point Loma High Heads to D.C.
A successful program at Point Loma High School for children of families with parents in the military has been selected to be showcased this summer in Washington, D.C. It will be one of 200 programs nationwide run by students for students at the event. Point Loma students along with a school counselor and librarian received training in Texas in December from the Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC), to launch the program at Point Loma. The purpose of student-to-student programs is to ease the transition for all incoming and outgoing students whose parents are being transferred by the military. For more information, please contact Point Loma High librarian Sarah Sine at ssine@sandi.net.
